How to find the African Studies Centre

The African Studies Centre, part of the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies, is located in Oxford near Banbury Road and Woodstock Road. It is recommended that visitors travelling to the African Studies Centre contact us in advance to avoid disappointment in case of office closure.

Driving

Limited parking spaces for 1 or 2 hour visitors are available in and around Bevington Road. For longer stays, visitors are advised to use the Peartree Park and Ride service to the Old Radcliffe Infirmary stop.

Public transport

Bevington Road is a 30 minute walk or short taxi ride from Oxford train station and a 20 minute walk from Gloucester Green coach station. Coach/bus services are also available, including the 14 bus from Oxford train station to the John Radcliffe and the S3 bus from Oxford train station to Chipping Norton/Charlbury which both stop very close to Bevington Road.
